Features

Everything you need to control your tool room.

Tool Tracker Pro is built around a clean dashboard and a simple data model: tools, categories, and kits. Add the details that matter, attach photos, and let the app keep everything organized.

📦
Smart tool profiles

Capture the essentials: name, type (hand, power, specialty), category, cost, purchase date, model and serial numbers, and rich descriptions. Attach photos from the camera or photo library so crews know exactly what they’re looking for.

📊
Dashboard overview

The dashboard shows total tool counts, total inventory value, averages, tool-type breakdowns, and recently added tools – all backed by SwiftData and Charts for smooth, native performance.

Perfect for quick toolbox audits and management reviews.
🗂️
Custom categories

Create your own categories with color and SF Symbol icons: power tools, layout, safety, test equipment, plumbing, electrical – structure your inventory the way your crew actually works.

🧰
Kits & load-outs

Build reusable kits for vans, foremen, and job-specific load-outs. Each kit can contain any combination of tools, with optional cover images for quick visual recognition.

🔍
Fast search & filters

Filter by tool type, category, or text search. Sort by date added, name, cost, or purchase date to quickly answer questions like “What are our most expensive tools?” or “What was purchased this month?”.

⬇️
Export to CSV & PDF

Export your entire inventory in a tap. Generate CSV files for spreadsheets or PDF summaries for audits, insurance, and hand-off packages. All exports are created on-device.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

A few quick details about how Tool Tracker Pro fits into your workflow and protects your data.

Where is my data stored?

Tool data is stored using Apple’s SwiftData framework on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, Tool Tracker Pro uses CloudKit to sync your inventory securely through your Apple ID. The developer does not operate any separate servers for your tool data.

Does the app collect analytics or show ads?

No. Tool Tracker Pro does not include third-party analytics SDKs and does not show advertising. Basic crash and usage information may be collected by Apple if you opt-in to Apple’s analytics on your device.

Why does the app ask for Camera and Photo Library access?

These permissions are used only so you can attach images to your tools. Photos stay inside the app and your iCloud account. You can use Tool Tracker Pro without photos if you prefer.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. From Settings you can export all tools to CSV or reset the local database. Because data is tied to your iCloud account, removing the app or disabling iCloud for the app will remove synced data from your devices.
